Intercoastal Medical Group Portal 2026: Login, Results, Refills & Bill Pay

Intercoastal Medical Group Portal: Login, Fix Access Problems and Use the Right Online Tool

The Intercoastal Medical Group portal gives established patients a secure online connection to their medical practice without requiring a phone call for every routine task. Patients can use portal tools for medical-chart information, test results, prescriptions, routine refill requests, non-urgent communication, past visit information and appointment requests.

The part that often causes confusion is that Intercoastal currently uses more than one online system. Most patients use My Health Record by Greenway Health, while hematology and oncology patients have a separate CareSpace portal. Physician bill payment and formal medical-record requests also have their own workflows.

Current portal performance notice: Intercoastal Medical Group is presently warning patients about portal time-outs, slowness, failed information uploads and difficulty retrieving data. The practice says the issue is connected with limitations in its electronic medical record vendor’s database.
Portal help: Intercoastal currently directs patients needing assistance to support@intercoastalmedical.com. If you urgently need records sent electronically while the portal is not retrieving data correctly, call your physician’s office directly.

Which Intercoastal Medical Group portal should you use?

MOST IMG PATIENTS My Health Record

This is the standard Intercoastal patient portal for established patients across primary care and most specialties.

Use for routine access to chart information, results, prescriptions, non-urgent messages, appointment requests and other available patient-account functions.
HEMATOLOGY & ONCOLOGY CareSpace

Intercoastal places a separate Hematology & Oncology Portal link in its main patient navigation. It currently routes to CareSpace.

If your cancer or hematology team gave you a CareSpace account, do not attempt to force those credentials into My Health Record.
SURGERY CENTER Use the surgery workflow

The regular physician portal is not the correct payment route for Intercoastal Ambulatory Surgery Center charges.

Surgery-center billing/payment help: 941-379-5884.
Fast identity check: if the page says My Health Record and shows Greenway Health, you are on the standard patient login. If your hematology/oncology team instructed you to use CareSpace, follow that separate portal.

Portal troubleshooting

Intercoastal Medical Group portal not working? Try these fixes in order

The page keeps timing out Intercoastal currently acknowledges time-out and performance problems. Save any important text before repeatedly attempting an upload or long message.
The portal will not retrieve your data Intercoastal says its EMR vendor is working on a data-retrieval issue. If records need to be sent electronically now, call your physician’s office.
Login screen behaves strangely My Health Record recommends clearing browser cache and cookies for myhealthrecord.com.

Scheduling rules

Appointment request versus appointment rescheduling

Requesting a non-urgent appointment

Established patients may use the portal to request an appointment. Intercoastal also provides a public online appointment-request form.

The public form states that its appointment scheduler should respond within 3 business days.

Rescheduling an existing appointment

Intercoastal’s current instruction is different: if you already have an appointment and need to reschedule it, contact the provider’s office by phone.

Urgent medical problem? Do not submit an online appointment request and wait up to three business days. Call the provider’s office. Call 911 for a life-threatening emergency.
Use messaging for the right problem

What to send through an Intercoastal portal message

Good portal message

A short non-urgent question about instructions, medication, routine follow-up or clarification from a recent visit.

Include useful context

State what you need, relevant timing, medication name when applicable and the specific question you want answered.

Avoid urgent messages

Do not use asynchronous messaging when symptoms could require immediate evaluation.

Clear non-urgent portal message
“At my visit on [date], I was told to [instruction]. I have a question about [specific issue]. My current medication is [name/dose, if relevant]. Please let me know whether I should [clear action/question].”
Short messages work better. One specific question with the relevant date, medication or test is easier for the office to route than a long message covering several unrelated medical problems.
Prescription workflow

Using the portal for Intercoastal prescription refills

Intercoastal describes prescription/refill access as one of the practical uses of its patient portal.

Medication name
Strength or dose
How often you take it
Correct pharmacy
Pharmacy city/location
Request before the last dose
A refill request is not an automatic approval. The physician may need a visit, lab work, monitoring or other medical review before safely renewing certain prescriptions.
Medication may run out today? Do not rely only on a portal message if timing is medically important. Contact the provider’s office directly.
Lab and test information

How to handle Intercoastal portal test results

The result appears normally Review the result together with the physician’s comments or follow-up plan when provided.
A result is marked high or low A flag does not by itself explain the diagnosis or medical importance. Interpretation depends on the test, reference range and your health history.
A recent result is missing It may not yet be available in the patient account, or the current portal-retrieval problem may be affecting access.
You need the result sent elsewhere now Intercoastal currently advises patients affected by the portal data problem to call the physician’s office for electronic record transmission.
You need the complete chart Use the formal medical-record request process instead of relying only on screenshots or individual portal results.
The result relates to worsening symptoms Contact the provider for medical guidance rather than attempting to interpret the number alone.
Portal vs formal records request

How to request complete Intercoastal Medical Group medical records

Being able to see information in the portal does not replace a formal authorization when you need your complete record sent to yourself, another physician, an insurer, attorney or another authorized recipient.

Identify the treating physician or specialty Intercoastal publishes separate medical-record request forms for many individual providers.
Open the Patient Forms page Find your specialty, then locate your physician under the Medical Records Request section.
Complete the correct authorization Provide the patient identity, requested records and recipient information required by the form.
Submit to the physician’s office Intercoastal instructs patients to send the completed provider-specific records request to the appropriate doctor’s office.
Former Intercoastal physician? When requesting records for physicians no longer with the group, Intercoastal publishes a separate corporate route.
Former-provider record request:
Fax: 941-954-4440
Mail: Intercoastal Medical Group Corporate Office,
943 S. Beneva Road, Suite 306,
Sarasota, FL 34232

What Intercoastal collects at the visit

Copay
Coinsurance
Applicable deductible
Prior patient-responsibility balance
Past-due account rule: Intercoastal states that a past-due patient balance must be paid in full before a new appointment can be made. Failure to pay a past-due balance can result in dismissal from the practice.
Procedure or surgery: Intercoastal analyzes expected patient responsibility before a procedure and requires partial payment before the procedure is performed.
Insurance before portal payment

Do not confuse a portal balance with an insurance coverage decision

Intercoastal accepts Medicare and many major commercial and Medicare Advantage plans, but the exact product matters.

Major insurance categories currently published by Intercoastal
Category Examples currently listed Important rule
Commercial Aetna, AvMed, Florida Blue, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare and selected networks. Verify the exact product before the visit.
Traditional Medicare Medicare and Railroad Medicare. Medicare coinsurance is payable at service unless secondary insurance applies.
Medicare Advantage Selected AARP/UHC and Humana products. Plan participation depends on the exact product.
Aetna Medicare Advantage PPO-ESA Extended Service Area employer-group product. Intercoastal currently identifies this as its Aetna Medicare Advantage exception.
Aetna Medicare Advantage PPO non-ESA Non-ESA PPO products. Intercoastal says these are out of network; patient pays Medicare rate and IMG files a courtesy claim.
Other out-of-network plans Plans not on the accepted list. Intercoastal states it generally cannot see patients with out-of-network PPO or HMO plans unless a stated exception applies.
Insurance verification script
“My exact insurance product is [plan/network]. I see [provider] at Intercoastal Medical Group. Is the provider and location in network for [visit/test/procedure], and what copay, coinsurance or deductible should I expect before I pay the portal balance?”

Separate specialty portal

Hematology and oncology patients: use CareSpace when instructed

Intercoastal’s site displays a separate Hematology & Oncology Portal. That link currently routes to CareSpace rather than the regular My Health Record login.

CareSpace login

The current CareSpace login uses an email and password. Its sign-in system also supports password recovery.

Multi-factor authentication

The current CareSpace/Flatiron login indicates that the practice has enabled multi-factor authentication for additional security.

Do not merge the two accounts mentally. A My Health Record username is not automatically your CareSpace credential. Follow the portal identified by your treating Intercoastal specialty.
