Catalyst Medical Group 2026: New Portal, Doctors & Locations

Lewiston & Moscow patient transition guide · updated for 2026

Catalyst Medical Group Has Changed — Here Is Where Patients Go Now

If you previously used Catalyst Medical Group, Valley Medical Center or Lewiston Orthopedics, the most important update is the name above the door and the digital system behind your care. Catalyst Medical Group joined the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center network, and the former Catalyst website now sends patients directly to St. Joseph Regional Medical Group.

The change does not mean every familiar location disappeared. The former Valley Medical Center building at 2315 8th Street still provides extensive outpatient care, the Warner Drive orthopedic office remains active, and medical services continue in Moscow. This guide shows exactly where those services live now, which patient portal to use, where to call, and how records and bills are handled after the transition.

Medical emergency? Do not use an old Catalyst phone number, patient portal message or routine appointment request for emergency symptoms. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department when a condition may be life-threatening.
Most important 2026 update: the old catalystmedicalgroup.com address now redirects to St. Joseph Regional Medical Group. This is why older Catalyst bookmarks, provider pages and PDF forms may no longer match the current patient workflow.

Start with the transition

What happened to Catalyst Medical Group?

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center announced on September 23, 2025 that Catalyst Medical Group would join its healthcare system. The acquisition included the practices patients knew as Valley Medical Center and Lewiston Orthopedics.

At the time of the announcement, Catalyst was described as a physician-owned, multi-specialty organization with three locations: the Valley Medical Center campus on 8th Street, the Lewiston Orthopedics campus on Warner Drive and the Moscow clinic on Alturas Drive.

September 23, 2025 St. Joseph Regional Medical Center publicly announced that Catalyst Medical Group would join its health system.
Transition planned for late 2025 The organizations said patients could continue using their trusted providers and familiar locations while the integration was completed.
Current patient-facing system The former Catalyst website now redirects to St. Joseph Regional Medical Group, confirming that current online patient navigation has moved into the St. Joseph system.
What this means for an established Catalyst patient: do not assume you must find an entirely new physician. Start by searching the current St. Joseph provider directory for your former Catalyst provider or calling the familiar clinic location.
Choose the correct care path

Where should a former Catalyst Medical Group patient start?

PRIMARY / FAMILY / INTERNAL MEDICINE Start with 2315 8th Street

The former Valley Medical Center site is now a major St. Joseph Regional Medical Group outpatient location with primary care and multiple related services.

Useful for: annual care, chronic conditions, adult medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, geriatrics, same-day illness and care coordination.
ORTHOPEDICS Use Warner Drive

Patients who previously knew the practice as Lewiston Orthopedics should use the current St. Joseph Regional Medical Group Orthopedics listing at 320 Warner Drive.

Useful for: orthopedic consultations, sports injuries, joint conditions, hand care and surgical/non-surgical musculoskeletal treatment.
MOSCOW Check the exact specialty schedule

1174 Alturas Drive remains in the current St. Joseph directory, but different specialties use the Moscow location on different schedules.

Useful for: current internal medicine and selected orthopedic services without traveling to Lewiston for every visit.

More than one type of clinic

What care is available through the current St. Joseph Medical Group network?

The former Catalyst organization was multi-specialty, and many familiar outpatient functions continue within a broader St. Joseph network.

PC

Annual physicals, preventive services, chronic-condition management, medication management and referrals.

FM
Family medicine

Ongoing healthcare for individuals and families with acute, chronic and preventive needs.

IM
Internal medicine

Comprehensive adult care, including complex chronic conditions and geriatric health needs.

PED
Pediatrics

Newborn, childhood and adolescent healthcare, preventive visits and illness evaluation.

ORT

WH

LAB
Laboratory services

On-site lab access at the 8th Street Medical Office Building can reduce extra travel for some patients.

IMG
Imaging

Medical imaging services remain part of the integrated care pathway for appropriate patients.

The St. Joseph network is broader than the old Catalyst service list. Current St. Joseph Regional Medical Group services also include areas such as cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, sleep medicine, wound care and other hospital-connected specialties.
Walk-in care

Express Care at the former Valley Medical Center location

Patients who remember Catalyst’s walk-in care can still find non-emergency same-day care at 2315 8th Street, first floor, Lewiston through St. Joseph Regional Medical Group Express Care.

Use Express Care when the problem is urgent but not an emergency

Minor illness that cannot wait for a routine PCP appointment
Minor injury needing same-day evaluation
Non-life-threatening symptoms requiring prompt assessment
Your regular office is unavailable and the problem should not wait several days
Express Care is not an emergency department. Call 911 for severe chest pain, serious breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms, major trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness or another potentially life-threatening condition.
Appointment workflow after the transition

How former Catalyst patients should schedule care now

Search your previous provider first Use the current St. Joseph provider directory and enter the physician or provider name you knew from Catalyst.
If the provider appears, open the current profile Check the location, specialty, phone number and whether online booking is available.
If the provider does not appear, search by specialty Try family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics or the condition that prompted your visit.
Call the correct former Catalyst campus Use 208-746-1383 for many 8th Street services and 208-743-3523 for Warner Drive Orthopedics.
Verify your insurance again Integration into another health system can change how a provider is listed in an insurer’s directory even when the physician remains the same.
Ask whether a referral is needed Specialist requirements depend on the insurance plan and service.
Confirm which portal will hold the appointment St. Joseph distinguishes between clinic and hospital portals.
Save the current organization name Your reminder may say St. Joseph Regional Medical Group rather than Catalyst Medical Group.
Useful transition call script
“I was previously a Catalyst Medical Group patient and saw [provider] at [8th Street / Warner Drive / Moscow]. I am trying to continue care after the St. Joseph transition. Is this provider still available, which office should I use now, do you already have my existing chart, and which patient portal should I use for this clinic?”
Do not assume your physician disappeared

How to find a former Catalyst doctor in the new directory

1 Search name

Enter the physician or provider name exactly as you remember it.

2 Check location

Look for 8th Street, Warner Drive, Moscow or another current St. Joseph location.

3 Check specialty

Confirm that the provider still matches the type of care you need.

4 Book or call

Use online booking when displayed or call the current office number.

Why this works better than searching “Catalyst doctor”: older search results can lead to archived Catalyst biographies, PDFs or directories. The current St. Joseph provider profile is more useful for today’s location, phone number, insurance and booking status.
New digital front door

Which patient portal should former Catalyst Medical Group patients use?

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center currently separates its portal access into a clinic patient portal and a hospital patient portal.

Clinic Patient Portal

Start here for outpatient primary care and specialist clinic services. The current clinic portal is linked from St. Joseph and is powered through athenahealth.

This is the more likely starting point for a former Catalyst patient whose care is now through St. Joseph Regional Medical Group clinics.

Hospital Patient Portal

Use the hospital portal for information tied to hospital services, including inpatient records and discharge information.

A clinic visit and a hospital admission can therefore appear in different portal environments.

Information St. Joseph says may be available through its portal: admission and discharge information, procedures, current and past problem lists, medications, allergies, immunizations, discharge vital signs, laboratory results and demographic information.
Age rule: St. Joseph’s current portal information says online healthcare information is provided to patients age 18 and older. Proxy or minor access should be handled through the current health-system process rather than by sharing another person’s password.
Portal troubleshooting

Old Catalyst login not working? Check these causes first

You bookmarked an old Catalyst page The Catalyst domain now redirects into St. Joseph. Begin again from the current St. Joseph patient-portal page.
You opened the hospital portal for a clinic visit Switch to the clinic portal when the care came from a St. Joseph Regional Medical Group outpatient practice.
You opened the clinic portal for a hospitalization Hospital records and discharge information may require the hospital portal instead.
Your old Catalyst username does not work Do not keep guessing passwords. Ask the clinic whether your patient account requires activation or a new portal connection after the organizational transition.
A test result is missing Confirm whether the test was performed by the clinic, hospital or another facility and which portal should contain it.
You need technical help St. Joseph currently lists 208-799-5309 for patient-portal registration questions and assistance.
Records after the Catalyst transition

How to request medical records without using an outdated Catalyst form

Old Catalyst Medical Group record-release PDFs are still searchable online. Some of those documents identify Valley Medical Center and Lewiston Orthopedics and describe older Catalyst processing rules. Because the organization has now transitioned into St. Joseph, patients should begin with the current St. Joseph workflow.

CURRENT CLINIC RECORD Contact the provider’s office

St. Joseph’s current records page instructs patients who need records from a clinic to contact their provider’s office.

Best for: primary care, specialty clinic and outpatient records.
HOSPITAL RECORD Use St. Joseph Medical Records

Hospital records use the Authorization of Disclosure of Health Information process.

Current hospital medical-record fax: 208-746-3832.
TRANSFER OF CARE Send records to the new treating office

If another physician needs the records, ask which department should receive them and whether the receiving office can initiate the transfer.

This is often more efficient than requesting a large personal paper chart first.

Hospital medical-record request address

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center — Medical Records
415 6th Street
Lewiston, ID 83501
Fax: 208-746-3832
Do not automatically submit an old Catalyst PDF simply because Google still shows it. Call the current provider office if the record was created by a former Catalyst clinic. This prevents a completed form from being sent into an outdated workflow.
New billing workflow

How to pay a former Catalyst Medical Group bill now

St. Joseph currently offers separate online payment routes for hospital and clinic services. If your care occurred after the transition, identify which type of bill you actually have before entering payment information.

1 Read the bill header

Identify whether the statement is for a clinic visit, hospital service or outside professional service.

2 Match the service date

Transition-period bills can be confusing, so confirm when and where the care occurred.

3 Use the correct payment route

St. Joseph offers a clinic payment option powered by athenahealth and a separate hospital payment system.

4 Save confirmation

Keep the receipt or transaction number until the account reflects the payment.

833-203-0026

Hospital billing

Separate bills are possible. St. Joseph explains that physicians, radiologists, anesthesiology groups, laboratories, ambulance companies and other independent providers may bill separately from the hospital.
Verify after a system change

Does your insurance still cover your former Catalyst doctor?

Provider-network status can change, and St. Joseph’s current provider profiles specifically advise patients to contact the practice to confirm whether a health plan is currently accepted.

Read the complete plan name Do not ask only whether the office accepts “Blue Cross,” “Aetna,” “Medicare” or another company. Give the complete product and network.
Give the current St. Joseph practice name Your insurer may no longer list the provider under Catalyst Medical Group.
Verify the provider and location A health plan can contract differently with different physicians or service sites.
Ask about referrals Some plans require a primary-care referral before specialist care.
Ask about hospital-based charges when relevant An integrated health-system location can create different billing than a stand-alone physician office.
Insurance verification script
“My physician was previously with Catalyst Medical Group and is now listed through St. Joseph Regional Medical Group. I have [full plan name]. Is [provider] at [exact location] currently in network for my plan, and will this visit be billed as a standard clinic service or a hospital-based outpatient service?”

What former Catalyst patients should bring to a St. Joseph visit

Current photo identification

Approximate date of the last Catalyst visit
Recent outside test results not performed in the network
Referral or authorization when required
Questions about which portal/account you should use

Transition shortcut: tell registration that you were an established Catalyst patient. That gives staff a useful starting point when checking whether your historical chart and current St. Joseph registration are connected correctly.

The same address also appears as a limited-schedule orthopedic location. The current listing says the orthopedic clinic operates once a month and advises patients to call for appointment information.

Practical Lewiston and Moscow tips after the Catalyst transition

01
Search the provider, not the old brand

Your physician may now be easier to find under St. Joseph than under Catalyst Medical Group.

02
Use 8th Street for more than primary care

The building includes Express Care plus laboratory and imaging access alongside multiple outpatient specialties.

03
Know the portal type

A clinic encounter and hospital encounter may require different St. Joseph portals.

04
Ignore stale Catalyst forms

Search engines may still surface older PDFs. Start with the current provider office before submitting them.

05
Verify insurance after integration

Ask your insurer for the current St. Joseph practice and provider listing rather than using an old Catalyst directory entry.

06
Confirm Moscow days

Alturas Drive specialties do not necessarily operate every weekday.

07
Separate clinic and surgery locations

An orthopedic office visit at Warner Drive does not mean surgery occurs in the same building.

08
Use Express Care for the right problem

The 8th Street walk-in clinic is convenient, but serious emergencies still belong in emergency care.

09
Bring your old provider name

It can help registration connect the right historical relationship when your new paperwork says St. Joseph.
